Matador Relief Fund for Employees

Our hearts go out to those affected by the devastating fires that have ravaged our vibrant city.

If you are an undergraduate or graduate student employed by ¼ªÏé·» and your primary reason for being at ¼ªÏé·» is to be a student, please see the MataCare Emergency Grants page.

President Beck has directed the reinstatement of the Matador Relief Fund. This fund exists to support employees who have experienced extreme hardship. 

If you have been impacted by the fires, please complete the to request funding support. We recommend you complete the form as soon as possible. Please reach out to HR Employee Relations at 818-677-6566 if you need any assistance in completing the form.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a current staff or faculty member.
  • Have full-time or part-time continuous employment.
  • Be in good standing.
  • Be impacted by the LA County Fires.

Written attestation of above eligibility will be required prior to disbursement of funds. Falsified information will result in automatic denial.


For employees who are not impacted and would like to support those who are, can  and support one of two funds within the ¼ªÏé·» Foundation designed to support ¼ªÏé·» students, faculty and staff in need. The MataCare Emergency Grant fund is available to support students with unforeseen expenses and the Matador Relief Fund helps ¼ªÏé·» employees directly impacted by the fires and other unforeseen emergencies.
