Dear Principal Investigators and Research Administrators:
We hope your fall 2023 semester is going well. And we hope this email brings wonderful news to all of you.
I want to make you aware of the staffing changes here at TUC Post-Award department, and also introduce the new members of our team.
Vanessa Wampler has decided to move into a part-time position here at TUC. With this change, she will no longer be one of the Post-Award liaisons. However, she will remain to serve as a senior analyst in the department with her main focus shifting in quality assurance, audit and compliance, and staff support and training. Her experience and knowledge in post-award administration is an asset to TUC.
Three new members have joined the TUC RSP team:
Anthony DeYoe is a new TUC Post-Award Analyst. He graduated from ¼ªÏé·» in May 2023 with a BS in Business Analytics. While studying at ¼ªÏé·», he worked at the ¼ªÏé·» USU Veterans Resource Center as a Student Events Assistant. Anthony is a deep thinker who is interested in philosophy and religious studies.
Joseph Galvez, another ¼ªÏé·» alumnus, will also be one of TUC’s Post-Award Analyst. He earned his BA in Computer Information Technology and worked as a tutor and education program assistant at Los Angeles Valley College before joining TUC. He loves to learn new ideas and skills, but outside of work, he has 2 dogs—a shih poo (shih tzu poodle mix) and a (rescued) chihuahua—that keeps him busy.
After previously working as a Visiting Scholar in 2013-2014, Ying Zhu now returns to ¼ªÏé·» as TUC’s Post-Award Analyst. She brings her extensive background and experience in the fields of International Economic Law (B.A.), Regional Economics (M.A.), and Economic Geography (Ph.D.). Because of her major in Human Geography and Regional Economics, she travelled to many underdeveloped areas in Western China to make development plans, which she considers her best memories. Her firsthand experience as a PI will surely be of great benefit to ¼ªÏé·»’s PIs and to TUC.
