Exposure and Reporting
On February 3, 2025, the CAL-OSHA COVID-19 workplace regulations under California Code Section 3205 expired. As a result, ¼ªÏé·» is no longer required to conduct and record contact tracing. Employees and students will no longer receive notifications of close contact exposure.
¼ªÏé·» cares about your health and safety and recommends the following:
If you test positive for COVID:
- Consult your Personal Care Physician (PCP) to get tailored guidance on treatment, isolation duration, and when it’s safe to resume normal activities.
- Notify your manager if you will be out sick or to request approval to temporally work from home. Your medical diagnosis does not need to be communicated.
- You should not return to campus, until you have not had a fever for 24 hours and your symptoms have improved.
- It is recommended you wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask for a total of 10 days from symptom onset or your first positive test date when around others.
If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19:
- It is recommended you closely monitor your health and consult your PCP to get tailored guidance on treatment and testing.
