Deaf ¼ªÏé·»ians
The Deaf ¼ªÏé·»ians is a student government organization under the ¼ªÏé·» Associated Students that offers educational experiences outside the classroom in leadership development and personal growth through the provision of social and cultural activities and networks with entities on and off campus. It participates in a culturally diverse technological and global society. A NCOD staff member serves on the committee as an advisor.
The purpose of the Deaf ¼ªÏé·»ians is:
- To promote and provide academic, leadership, social, culture and recreation opportunities within the campus and community.
- To promote continuing awareness and involvement between its members and other students at California State University, Northridge.
- To increase awareness among students as well as faculty and staff at ¼ªÏé·» about issues relevant to deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
