What is Nearpeer?
Nearpeer is an online community for newly admitted ¼ªÏé·» students. It's designed to help you meet other incoming ¼ªÏé·» students, make friends and get to know your community — all before the first day of school!
- You can search for people from your hometown or join different groups by selecting Find Peers in the app.
- Find other students near you to plan carpooling, study groups, meetups or find the perfect match for a roommate.
- Connect one-to-one to make new friends and chat directly on Nearpeer — or eventually move the conversation to social media, text, Facetime or IRL.
- You can also reach out to select ¼ªÏé·» staff and ask questions.

How Does it Work?
Once you’ve been admitted to ¼ªÏé·», you’ll get an email invitation to sign up. Invitations are sent about 3 to 5 days after you've been admitted — be sure to check your ¼ªÏé·» email account.
- Follow the instructions in the email to create your Nearpeer account.
- Verify your account and complete your profile using the link sent to your ¼ªÏé·» email.
- Download the free Nearpeer app from theÌýÌý´Ç°ùÌý and log in.
Now you're ready to start connecting with fellow newly admitted Matadors!
